Foundational Competencies for Direct-Service Staff

The information presented in this layer of the model is designed for staff working directly with persons under supervision and who are responsible for supporting behavior change work, monitoring progress, and reporting on and enforcing compliance. Direct-service staff have a powerful impact on persons under supervision by helping them achieve goals, complete supervision, and improve their quality of life. In addition to CSOs, this audience includes case managers, reentry specialists, client liaisons, and employment and/or housing specialists.
